Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team in Bloomington, Indiana. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and support services to patients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living areas.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Assist with safe patient transfers and ambulation.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Administer medication reminders as directed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Document care provided and observations accurately and timely.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for patients.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Home Health Aide certification (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Indiana
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic understanding of patient care principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or CNA in a home care setting
- First Aid and CPR certification
