Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Cybersecurity Analyst with a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join our pioneering team. This is a unique opportunity for an entry-level professional to dive deep into advanced threat detection, incident response, and security analytics, with a specific focus on leveraging AI to enhance our security posture. You will contribute to protecting critical systems and data, working alongside industry experts, and continuously learning in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This position is 100% remote within the USA, offering flexibility and the chance to work with a globally distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and tools for suspicious activities and potential threats, with an emphasis on AI-driven alerts.
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of security incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Support the development and implementation of AI/ML models for anomaly detection, threat intelligence, and security automation.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and engineers to refine security policies and procedures.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and contribute to penetration testing efforts.
- Document security incidents, findings, and remediation steps accurately and thoroughly.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and AI/ML security trends.
- Participate in security awareness training and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments.
- Conceptual knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications in security.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Prior internship or academic project experience in cybersecurity or AI/ML.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) or EDR platforms.
- Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Knowledge of data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
