Job Description
Manulife Financial is seeking a dedicated and reliable Mailroom Sorter to join our administrative team in Kitchener. This essential role is responsible for the efficient processing and distribution of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages within our corporate office. The successful candidate will ensure that all correspondence is handled with precision, confidentiality, and timeliness, contributing to the smooth operation of our daily business functions. Key Responsibilities
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and inter-office correspondence to appropriate departments and individuals.
- Process outgoing mail, including weighing, franking, and preparing packages for shipment through various carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail, including courier logs and tracking numbers.
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment such as franking machines, scanners, and mail sorters.
- Handle sensitive and confidential documents with the utmost discretion.
- Assist with basic office support tasks as needed, including stocking supplies or light lifting.
- Adhere to all company security and confidentiality protocols related to mail handling.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven reliability and strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and tracking.
- Physical ability to lift and move mail bins and packages (up to 25 lbs) throughout the day.

- Previous experience in a mailroom, office services, or similar administrative role.
- Familiarity with various mail carrier services and shipping procedures.
- Knowledge of office equipment operation, particularly mailroom machinery.
