Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Media Search Analyst to join our team, specifically working on Google-related projects aimed at enhancing search visibility and data quality. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing search query data, evaluating content relevance, and providing actionable insights to optimize search algorithms and user experience. This position requires a strong understanding of search engine functionality, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to data accuracy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of search performance and contribute directly to global media projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets of search queries and user behavior to identify trends and patterns.
  • Evaluate the relevance and quality of search results for specific keywords and topics.
  • Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for improving search algorithms and content ranking.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to search visibility and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and content specialists to implement search improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in search engine optimization (SEO) and search technology.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes for new search features and functionalities.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical tools and methodologies.
  • Prepare and present reports on search performance and project progress.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle patterns in data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data analysis tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or other web analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other query languages for data extraction.
  • Experience in a similar role focusing on search quality or media analysis.
  • Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts.
