Job Description
As a Meet and Greet Driver for Airport Terminal Arrivals at Hertz, you will be the first point of contact for many of our valued customers. Your primary role will be to provide a warm welcome, assist with luggage, and safely transport clients from the airport terminal to their rental vehicle or designated pick-up area. This vital position requires excellent customer service skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring a smooth and positive start to our customers’ journeys. You will represent the Hertz brand, embodying our values of efficiency, professionalism, and care. This is an on-site position based at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet arriving customers at designated airport terminal arrival points.
- Verify customer identities and reservation details efficiently.
- Assist customers with their luggage, ensuring careful handling and loading/unloading.
- Safely and courteously transport customers from the terminal to their rental vehicle or specific Hertz pick-up location.
- Maintain a clean, presentable, and well-maintained company vehicle.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Provide local area information and answer customer inquiries professionally.
- Communicate effectively with airport staff, rental counter agents, and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and airport regulations.
- Handle unexpected situations or customer concerns with composure and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major infractions in the last 3-5 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage (up to 50 lbs) and assist passengers.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and airport layouts.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality, transportation, or customer-facing role.
- Knowledge of the Savannah area, including local attractions and routes.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
