Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Metro Warehouse Associate to join our team in a bustling city center location. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring that products are received, stored, and prepared for shipment accurately and safely. This is an on-site position vital to maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Pick and pack orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, weighing, and staging.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 49 pounds, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
- Basic computer proficiency.
