Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Microsoft Knowledge Graph Associate with a strong data focus to join our innovative team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing and maintaining our enterprise knowledge graphs, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and discoverability. You will work with large datasets, apply data modeling principles, and contribute to the development of semantic solutions that power intelligent applications across Microsoft. Your expertise in data analysis and understanding of knowledge graph concepts will be vital in transforming complex information into structured, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain components of enterprise knowledge graphs, ensuring high data quality and integrity.
- Perform data ingestion, transformation, and linkage from various internal and external data sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to understand data requirements and translate them into graph models.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for graph enrichment.
- Develop and execute queries against graph databases to extract insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to the documentation of knowledge graph schemas, ontologies, and data mapping rules.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices for data management and semantic web technologies.
- Provide support for data governance initiatives related to knowledge graph assets.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies in knowledge graphs, semantic web, and artificial intelligence.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and data modeling principles.
- Experience with query languages such as SQL, Cypher, or SPARQL.
- Solid understanding of relational and graph database concepts.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Cosmos DB Graph API).
- Familiarity with knowledge representation formalisms (e.g., RDF, OWL) and semantic web technologies.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java for data processing.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application to knowledge graph construction or enrichment.
