Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mobile Rim Protection Applier to join our dynamic team in Southport, Merseyside. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously applying innovative alloy wheel protection solutions to a variety of vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, a methodical approach, and a passion for automotive aesthetics. While prior experience is a plus, comprehensive training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare alloy wheels for the application of protective coatings, including cleaning, degreasing, and surface preparation.
- Precisely apply rim protection products to alloy wheels, following manufacturer guidelines and best practices.
- Inspect finished applications to ensure flawless coverage and adherence, correcting any imperfections.
- Provide excellent customer service, explaining the benefits of rim protection and answering client queries.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Manage inventory of rim protection products and report stock levels.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Travel to various Kwik Fit centres or customer locations within the Merseyside area as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- Basic understanding of automotive care or willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive detailing, paint application, or similar precision roles.
- Knowledge of different types of alloy wheels and their care requirements.
- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or similar qualification.
