Job Description
Kadlec Regional Medical Center is thrilled to announce our New Graduate RN Residency Program, an immersive and comprehensive pathway designed to transition newly licensed Registered Nurses into confident, competent, and compassionate healthcare professionals. This program offers a structured curriculum, extensive clinical experience across various specialties, and dedicated mentorship to ensure a successful start to your nursing career. You will gain invaluable experience, develop critical thinking skills, and build strong professional relationships within a supportive hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all aspects of the RN Residency Program, including classroom learning, simulation, and clinical rotations.
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of experienced preceptors, adhering to Kadlec's policies and procedures and professional nursing standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively, documenting all interventions and patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development and actively seek feedback for growth.
Required Skills
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to start date.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional ethics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous healthcare experience (e.g., CNA, PCT, volunteer).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
