Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a structured new graduate RN residency program, attending all required didactic and clinical sessions.
  • Deliver compassionate and safe patient care under the direct supervision of a preceptor and experienced nursing staff.
  • Develop and refine clinical assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills for diverse patient populations.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Seek feedback from preceptors and mentors and actively engage in self-reflection for continuous professional growth.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards of nursing practice.

Required Skills

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
  • Current or eligible for Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Florida.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of nursing principles and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
