Job Description

Are you a proactive and results-driven individual with a passion for sales and customer service? Currys is seeking an enthusiastic Online Sales Support professional to join our dynamic team in York. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding our online customers through their purchasing journey, managing leads, answering product queries, and closing sales. This is a high-commission opportunity for someone who thrives on achieving targets and delivering outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with online customers via chat, email, and phone to assist with product selection and purchases.
  • Qualify and manage sales leads generated through our e-commerce platform, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Provide expert advice on a wide range of technology products, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
  • Resolve customer inquiries efficiently, turning potential issues into positive sales opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets and commission goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with the broader sales and customer service teams to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Stay updated on product launches, promotions, and industry trends to provide relevant information to customers.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a sales, customer service, or support role, preferably in an online or retail environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive selling abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a target-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and experience using CRM software or similar systems.
  • A genuine interest in technology products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in electronics retail or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with various online communication tools (live chat, virtual assistants).
  • Track record of achieving sales targets in a commission-based role.
