Job Description
Join Allied Universal as a Part-time Door Supervisor and become an essential part of the weekend nightlife and event scene in Detroit’s most vibrant venues. We’re looking for vigilant, professional, and customer-focused individuals to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. This role offers high pay and the excitement of working in dynamic settings, primarily on Friday and Saturday evenings. Key Responsibilities
- Manage access control points, verifying age and credentials as required.
- Conduct security checks and searches in accordance with venue policies.
- Monitor crowd behavior and diffuse potential conflicts professionally and calmly.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, including first aid and evacuation procedures.
- Liaise with venue management, emergency services, and other security personnel.
- Maintain a visible and reassuring presence to deter unauthorized activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting patrons with directions and information.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security, customer service, or a related field (1 year minimum).
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Valid State of Michigan Security Guard License (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Must be able to work late nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience in a high-volume hospitality or event security setting.
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and regulations.
- De-escalation and conflict resolution training.
