Job Description
Are you eager to learn practical trade skills and gain valuable experience in home improvement and maintenance? Lowe’s is seeking a motivated Part-time Handyman Helper to join our team for weekend shifts in Stockton, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience to develop hands-on skills in various aspects of general maintenance, repairs, and construction assistance. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning best practices and contributing to a wide range of projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled handymen and technicians with various repair and maintenance tasks.
- Learn to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Help with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling.
- Follow instructions and safety guidelines diligently.
- Perform general labor tasks as required, such as lifting, carrying, and organizing tools/materials.
- Observe and learn techniques for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Strong willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Basic problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some prior experience with basic tools or DIY projects (even informal).
- Interest in pursuing a career in skilled trades.
