Are you a student looking for a flexible part-time opportunity to gain valuable customer service experience while contributing to a positive community? 24 Hour Fitness in Old Town Torrance is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Part-time Student Receptionist to join our front-desk team. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, friendly, and passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere for our members. You’ll be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all members and guests upon arrival.
- Accurately check in members using our gym management system.
- Answer incoming phone calls, provide information, and direct calls as needed.
- Assist members with inquiries regarding club services, schedules, and membership details.
- Handle basic administrative tasks, including processing new memberships and updating member information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area.
- Process retail sales and manage cash handling procedures accurately.
- Support the fitness team with various tasks to ensure smooth club operations.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role (even volunteer experience).
- Familiarity with the fitness industry or a personal interest in health and wellness.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
