Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Coordinator with a strong focus on warehouse and logistics operations to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of pharmaceutical products within our distribution center. You will coordinate daily floor activities, maintain inventory accuracy, support order fulfillment processes, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. This position is ideal for an individual with a passion for precision, a knack for organization, and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to operational procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.
- Manage the receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure compliance with all Good Distribution Practices (GDP), FDA regulations, and company policies.
- Train and mentor junior warehouse staff on best practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to optimize delivery schedules and resolve shipping issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery as needed (certification provided/required).
- Prepare reports on inventory movement, order fulfillment rates, and operational performance.
- Address and resolve operational issues or bottlenecks to minimize disruptions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
- Demonstrated understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with pharmaceutical product handling and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, GDP).
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with Lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies in a warehouse setting.
