Job Description
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly professional and discreet Private Club Porter to join our exclusive establishment in Aberdeen. As a Private Club Porter, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring a seamless and elevated experience from arrival to departure. Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional porter duties to include sophisticated member assistance, security vigilance, and the immaculate presentation of our club facilities. This position demands exceptional interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and the utmost discretion in handling sensitive information and interactions. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist members and guests upon arrival and departure, managing luggage and personal belongings with care.
- Maintain a high level of security and vigilance at the club entrance, monitoring access and ensuring a safe environment for all.
- Provide exceptional concierge-level support, including arranging transportation, making reservations, and fulfilling special requests with discretion.
- Ensure the pristine condition and presentation of the club's entrance, common areas, and facilities.
- Handle incoming mail, packages, and deliveries, ensuring prompt and secure distribution.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of private events and meetings within the club.
- Proactively anticipate member needs and offer assistance without being prompted.
- Adhere strictly to all club policies, procedures, and security protocols, especially those concerning privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with other club staff to ensure a cohesive and outstanding member experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably within a luxury setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high degree of discretion and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle luggage and perform duties requiring standing, walking, and lifting.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Porter, Doorman, or similar role in a private club, 5-star hotel, or luxury residence.
- Knowledge of local Aberdeen attractions, amenities, and transportation.
- First Aid or security training certification.
