Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our beauty manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that every product meets Coty’s rigorous quality standards before it reaches our customers. You will conduct thorough inspections at various stages of production, from raw materials to finished goods, identifying and reporting any deviations. This is an on-site position requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished beauty products according to established specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize various testing equipment and methods to assess product quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including identification of defects or non-conformances.
- Initiate and follow up on corrective actions for identified quality issues, collaborating with production teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the quality control area.
- Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and inspection criteria.
- Provide feedback to production and R&D teams regarding product quality and potential improvements.
- Ensure all quality control activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- Ability to identify subtle defects in cosmetic products and packaging.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of basic quality control principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in quality control, preferably within the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO standards.
- Experience using laboratory or inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of cosmetic product formulation and manufacturing processes.
