Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Quantitative Chemist with a strong focus on data analytics to join our innovative team. This 100% remote position offers the opportunity to leverage your chemical expertise and data science skills to drive crucial insights and improve scientific outcomes across various projects. You will be instrumental in analyzing complex chemical data, developing predictive models, and contributing to the advancement of our research and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments to generate quantitative chemical data.
  • Apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to analyze large chemical datasets.
  • Develop and validate data models for predicting chemical properties, reactions, and outcomes.
  • Interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights for scientific and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and data scientists on cross-functional projects.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and adherence to best practices in data management.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and management.
  • Stay current with advancements in quantitative chemistry, data analytics, and relevant software tools.

Required Skills

  • Strong background in Chemistry (analytical, physical, or computational chemistry).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Python with libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib).
  • Experience with spectroscopic and chromatographic data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and apply machine learning models.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with chemometrics and multivariate data analysis.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for data processing.
  • Knowledge of molecular modeling software.
