Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Reach Truck Specialist for our Night Shift operations in Pasco, Washington. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our distribution center, ensuring accurate inventory movement and order fulfillment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve merchandise, contributing to a smooth workflow during off-peak hours. A generous sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates who join our night team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up reach trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move products, stock, and materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper documentation and secure handling of merchandise.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately and on time according to established procedures.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance (e.g., battery checks) to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Identify and report any damaged products or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a reach truck (stand-up forklift).
- Proven ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and inventory systems.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a large-scale distribution center or warehouse.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Current certification for reach truck operation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
