Job Description

Join Schneider as a Regional Dry Van driver and become a vital part of our robust transportation network. This full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity for experienced Class A CDL holders to earn top pay with a competitive mileage rate of $0.65 CPM, plus additional compensation for paid layovers and detention. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Transport dry van freight within a defined regional operating area.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer units.
  • Manage electronic logs accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Handle paperwork associated with freight and deliveries.
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Minimum of 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dry van freight.
  • Familiarity with regional routes in the Midwest.
  • Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement (not required, but a plus).
  • Tanker endorsement (not required, but a plus).
