Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Remote SaaS Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to kickstart or advance their career in SaaS sales. As an SDR, you will be on the front lines, identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities for our Account Executives. You will be responsible for outbound prospecting, engaging with potential clients, and articulating the value proposition of Freshworks’ innovative SaaS solutions. This role offers a competitive base salary along with uncapped commission potential, rewarding your efforts and success in driving pipeline growth. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK, provided you have a dedicated home office setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting activities (cold calls, emails, social selling) to generate new leads.
- Research and identify key decision-makers and target accounts within defined market segments.
- Qualify leads based on established criteria, understanding their needs, pain points, and business challenges.
- Schedule discovery meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to optimize lead generation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and Freshworks product knowledge.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified meetings and pipeline generation.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Strong research skills and ability to identify key information.
- Resilience and persistence in overcoming objections and handling rejection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a sales, customer service, or client-facing role.
- Familiarity with SaaS business models and terminology.
- Experience with sales engagement platforms (e.g., SalesLoft, Outreach).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
