Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Security Guard to join our team in Leeds. This is a full-time position offering weekly pay, responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients’ premises. The ideal candidate will hold a valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license and demonstrate excellent observational and communication skills. You will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring the protection of assets, personnel, and information. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for entry and exit of personnel and visitors.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in a detailed logbook.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while upholding security standards.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues discovered during patrols.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard license (mandatory)
- Excellent observational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations
- Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures
- Good physical fitness for patrols and standing for extended periods
- Basic IT literacy for report writing and CCTV monitoring
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role
- First Aid at Work qualification
- CCTV Operator license
- Knowledge of local security regulations and area specific risks
