Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Expert with a strong background in luxury retail to join our innovative digital team. As a Shopify Expert, you will be instrumental in optimizing, managing, and enhancing our Shopify Plus e-commerce platform to ensure a seamless, high-end online experience that reflects our brand’s luxury positioning. This role requires deep technical expertise in Shopify, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering excellence in the digital luxury space.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and optimize our Shopify Plus e-commerce platform, ensuring peak performance, security, and scalability.
- Develop, implement, and customize Shopify themes and features using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to meet luxury brand aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Integrate and manage third-party applications, APIs, and plugins to extend platform functionality and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, design, product, and merchandising teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Perform routine audits and updates, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Implement best practices for SEO, UX/UI, and conversion rate optimization specific to luxury e-commerce.
- Stay updated with Shopify's latest features, updates, and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Shopify Developer or Shopify Expert, specifically with Shopify Plus.
- Expert-level proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with Shopify API, GraphQL, and developing custom Shopify apps or integrations.
- Demonstrated understanding of e-commerce best practices, including UX/UI, SEO, analytics, and payment gateways.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience working within the luxury retail sector, understanding its unique demands and customer expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related technical field.
- Shopify Expert or Shopify Plus Partner certification.
- Experience with headless Shopify implementations or progressive web applications (PWAs).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment workflows.
- Experience with ERP/CRM integrations (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
- Proficiency in French, both written and spoken, is considered an asset.
