Job Description
Target in Portland, OR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Stockist to support our large format retail environment. This entry-level role is perfect for students looking to gain valuable retail experience while maintaining a flexible schedule. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our sales floor is fully stocked and organized, contributing to a seamless shopping experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring items are stored safely and logically.
- Replenish shelves, racks, and display cases on the sales floor according to planograms and merchandising standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and contribute to maintaining accurate stock records.
- Ensure the sales floor and stockroom remain clean, safe, and free of clutter.
- Support visual merchandising efforts by setting up displays and promotions as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain store appearance.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a high school or college program.
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic inventory management concepts.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
