Job Description
We are seeking experienced Tanker Solo Drivers to join our dynamic team, operating out of our Santa Clarita hub. This is an unparalleled opportunity for professional drivers looking for top pay and a stable career with a weekly minimum guarantee. As a Tanker Solo Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of liquid bulk commodities, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all safety regulations. We provide extensive training for tanker operations, even if you don’t have prior tanker experience, as long as you possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (tanker truck) to transport liquid bulk freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to DOT regulations and company policy.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of cargo to designated locations.
- Maintain electronic logs and other required documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and safety regulations, including those specific to hazardous materials.
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Secure and unsecure loads, including coupling and uncoupling trailers.
- Manage loading and unloading procedures for various liquid commodities.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Hazmat endorsement (H)
- Tanker endorsement (N)
- Minimum 24 months of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience transporting liquid bulk or hazardous materials
- Experience with various tanker types (e.g., food-grade, chemical)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation software
