Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Traffic Sign Annotator to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, classifying, and annotating traffic signs from diverse real-world imagery and video data. Your work will directly contribute to the development and improvement of our advanced AI and machine learning models for autonomous driving and intelligent transportation systems. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technology from anywhere within Quebec.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately annotate various types of traffic signs (e.g., speed limits, stop signs, warning signs) in images and video sequences using specialized annotation tools.
- Categorize and label traffic signs according to predefined guidelines and specifications.
- Perform quality checks on annotated data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Provide feedback on annotation guidelines and tools to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand project requirements and contribute to data labeling strategies.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and meet daily/weekly annotation targets.
- Adapt to new tools and annotation techniques as project needs evolve.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic office software.
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods on repetitive tasks.
- Strong understanding of English language, both written and verbal.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with image or video annotation tools (e.g., CVAT, LabelImg, VGG Image Annotator).
- Familiarity with different types of traffic signs and road regulations.
- Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, or computer vision concepts.
- Previous experience in data entry, quality assurance, or similar roles.
