Job Description

Are you passionate about mobile technology and have a keen eye for detail? UPS is seeking a dedicated App Quality Rater with a focus on Mobile Tech to join our dynamic team in Lexington, KY. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality and optimal performance of UPS’s critical mobile applications used by our customers and operational staff worldwide. You will conduct thorough testing, identify potential issues, and provide comprehensive feedback to enhance user experience and functionality. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed test plans and test cases for UPS mobile applications on various iOS and Android devices.
  • Rigorously identify, document, and track software bugs, defects, and usability issues using established bug tracking systems.
  • Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback on app performance, functionality, and overall user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to ensure issues are understood and resolved efficiently.
  • Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of new and updated app features.
  • Stay current with the latest mobile operating system updates, device trends, and testing methodologies.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, contributing insights and progress updates.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting both iOS and Android mobile platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document findings and interact with team members.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and execute test plans accurately.
  • Basic understanding of software quality assurance principles and processes.
  • Demonstrated interest in mobile technology and user interface best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a quality assurance, app testing, or technical support role.
  • Familiarity with logistics, package tracking, or delivery service applications.
  • Experience using bug tracking software such as JIRA or similar tools.
  • Ability to analyze application logs or perform basic mobile device diagnostics.
  • Associate's degree or certification in a technology-related field.
