Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Operate a UPS package delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Deliver and pick up packages at designated locations within an assigned route.
- Handle packages carefully, ensuring their integrity from pickup to delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license (Class C or equivalent).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle demanding routes and various weather conditions.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a delivery, driving, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Norfolk and surrounding Hampton Roads geographical area.
