Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst with a strong focus on Business Intelligence to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This critical role will be instrumental in optimizing inventory levels, improving forecasting accuracy, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance our supply chain efficiency and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data analysis, BI tools, and inventory management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
- Utilize business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for inventory performance.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of inventory data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory planning.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, such as turnover rate, fill rate, and obsolescence.
- Identify and resolve inventory-related issues, including stockouts, overstocks, and data inaccuracies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory health and performance to management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory processes and systems.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in inventory management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain analysis, or a similar role.
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
- Familiarity with forecasting models and statistical analysis techniques.
