Key Responsibilities
- Operate a UPS package delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Deliver and pick up packages at residential and commercial locations.
- Scan and log packages accurately using a handheld device.
- Obtain customer signatures when required.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and UPS safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Resolve delivery issues and customer inquiries professionally.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (Class C or equivalent).
- Clean driving record for at least 2 years.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery driving or a similar role.
- Familiarity with the Midtown East, New York area.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
