Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic UPS Physiotherapy Aide with a focus on Rehab & Sport to join our growing team in Simi Valley, CA. In this vital support role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists, assisting with patient care, preparing treatment areas, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position is perfect for someone passionate about health, fitness, and helping individuals recover from injuries or enhance their athletic performance. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and effective rehabilitation experience for our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient use, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Assist physical therapists with patient exercises, modalities, and various therapeutic activities.
- Monitor patients during exercises and alert the physical therapist to any changes or concerns.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas as needed.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and alert management when reordering is necessary.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, answering phones, and managing patient records as directed.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all patients and staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is a plus.
- Physical stamina to assist patients, move equipment, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for administrative tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (e.g., volunteer, internship) in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Interest or background in sports medicine, exercise science, or related fields.
- Enrollment in or completion of a Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or similar pre-physical therapy program.
