In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, scanning, and labeling packages within our fast-paced distribution center. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately identify and sort packages based on destination codes and other criteria.
- Utilize handheld scanning equipment to process packages efficiently.
- Apply correct labels and tags to packages, ensuring proper placement and readability.
- Load and unload packages from trucks and conveyor belts, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Basic proficiency with handheld scanning devices or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or package handling role.
