Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals for a 100% Direct Hire Warehouse position in our bustling Downtown Norfolk distribution center. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in logistics without the uncertainties of temporary employment. You will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring the efficient movement of products from receiving to shipping. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load, unload, pick, and move products within the warehouse.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment as needed (training provided).
- Accurately complete orders for shipment, ensuring correct product and quantity.
- Perform routine quality checks on incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic reading and math skills to understand instructions and count inventory.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
