Key Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately to process customer transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service, answering questions and resolving issues politely and efficiently.
- Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Assist customers with bagging merchandise and offer carry-out service when needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and cash handling.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations and customer satisfaction.
- Process product returns and exchanges in accordance with store policy.
Required Skills
- Ability to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays as needed.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Customer-centric attitude and a desire to provide excellent service.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
