Job Description
Are you an experienced CDL A driver looking to maximize your earning potential without committing to a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule? Schneider National is seeking dedicated Weekend Warrior Truckers for premium Saturday and Sunday routes based out of our Pasco, WA terminal. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) on designated routes during Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- Transport various types of freight, adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and submit all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding deliveries, delays, and any issues.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining professional conduct.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Minimum of 12 months recent verifiable Class A CDL driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) and no history of DOT preventable accidents
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other in-cab technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dry van and/or reefer freight
- Proven track record of on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with the Pacific Northwest regional routes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
