Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Wholesale Order Picker with a focus on bulk goods to join our distribution center team in New Port Richey, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders, primarily focusing on large and heavy bulk items. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety are essential for success. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing company that values its employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick bulk items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or scanning devices.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and possibly forklifts (certification preferred), to move large and heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Verify product accuracy and quantity against order documentation.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of bulk goods for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy bulk items frequently (up to 50+ lbs) throughout an entire shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.
- Basic mathematical skills to verify counts.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product labels.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Commitment to working safely and following all safety guidelines.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
