Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and looking for a flexible role that fits around your family schedule? Epic Games is seeking enthusiastic Part-Time Playtesters in Sandy, Utah, to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Actively playtest pre-release game builds across various platforms and genres.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and usability issues with precision.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on gameplay mechanics, design, and overall player experience.
- Participate in group play sessions and discussions to gather diverse perspectives.
- Complete surveys and written reports detailing observations and suggestions.
- Collaborate effectively with game development teams to improve game quality.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all unreleased content.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games and familiarity with various genres and platforms.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly articulate thoughts, ideas, and feedback, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with navigating game menus and systems.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to commit to scheduled playtesting sessions.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and provide specific feedback as requested.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in game testing, QA, or a similar role (even informal).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Asana).
- Experience with Epic Games' titles or the Unreal Engine ecosystem.
- Ability to think critically and analytically about game design.
- Experience playing games competitively or in a dedicated community.
