Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Travel to various CVS Pharmacy locations as assigned, covering staffing needs and special projects.
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance verification, and patient counseling support.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, order supplies, and manage medication stock.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as CVS Health policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving patient inquiries and ensuring a positive pharmacy experience.
- Operate pharmacy technology systems, including point-of-sale and prescription processing software.
- Support the training and onboarding of new pharmacy technicians at various locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or supervising Pharmacist.
Required Skills
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from PTCB or NHA.
- Active state Pharmacy Technician license in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, drug names, and dosage calculations.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to travel extensively within a specified geographic region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CVS Health pharmacy systems and procedures.
- Associate's Degree or higher in a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance plans and third-party billing.
- Experience training or mentoring other pharmacy technicians.
