Job Description
Are you a fashion enthusiast with a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for luxury goods? Nordstrom is seeking a talented Luxury Visual Tagger to join our dynamic team in Irvine, CA. In this ‘Smart Working Fashion focus’ role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and appealing presentation of our high-end merchandise, contributing to an elevated shopping experience for our customers. You will work with exquisite clothing, accessories, and other luxury items, ensuring they are correctly categorized, tagged, and ready for display or online presentation. This hybrid role offers flexibility while maintaining our commitment to product excellence and the hands-on nature required for luxury item handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately tag and categorize luxury fashion items including apparel, accessories, and footwear according to Nordstrom standards.
- Inspect merchandise for quality, defects, and discrepancies before tagging and report any issues.
- Maintain organized inventory and ensure a ready supply of tagging materials.
- Collaborate effectively with visual merchandising, sales, and inventory teams to ensure product readiness and smooth operations.
- Adhere strictly to brand standards and company guidelines for product presentation and handling of luxury goods.
- Utilize internal systems for accurate inventory tracking, data entry, and processing.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment.
- Adapt quickly to evolving product lines, seasonal collections, and updated tagging protocols.
- Assist with incoming shipments and outgoing transfers of merchandise as needed.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with data entry and inventory systems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Genuine passion for luxury fashion, retail, and product presentation.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift merchandise (up to 25 lbs) comfortably throughout a shift.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in luxury retail, inventory management, visual merchandising, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with various types of fabrics, materials, and high-end designer brands.
- Experience with RFID, barcode tagging systems, or other inventory technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education or fashion-related coursework preferred.
