Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Maintenance Technician with a strong focus on Electrical and HVAC systems to join our team at the Pomona, CA facility. In this stable full-time role, you will be crucial in ensuring the continuous operation, safety, and efficiency of our critical infrastructure. Your expertise in electrical troubleshooting and HVAC maintenance will directly contribute to our operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution panels, control circuits, and generators.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all aspects of HVAC systems, including commercial HVAC units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and associated controls.
  • Conduct routine inspections of building infrastructure, equipment, and grounds to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and diagnose complex electrical and HVAC malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and service performed.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and local building codes.
  • Collaborate effectively with other maintenance staff, operations teams, and external contractors to complete projects and resolve issues.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized diagnostic equipment.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including refrigeration cycles, air handlers, and direct digital controls (DDC).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and multimeters.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC certification (e.g., EPA Universal Certification).
  • Electrical Journeyman license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working in a large industrial, logistics, or commercial facility.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management platforms.
  • Associates degree or vocational training in Electrical, HVAC, or a related field.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Hour certification.
