Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist social workers and case managers with administrative tasks related to child protection cases.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records and case files.
- Help organize and schedule appointments, meetings, and support activities for children and families.
- Communicate sensitively and effectively with children, families, and other professionals under supervision.
- Support the preparation of reports and documentation as required.
- Adhere strictly to all child protection policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines.
- Participate actively in all provided training, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment focused on child welfare.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail for managing administrative tasks.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Basic IT proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Resilience and a calm demeanor when working in potentially challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
- A foundational understanding of child protection principles or social care (through study or volunteering).
- Previous experience, paid or voluntary, working with children or vulnerable individuals.
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable for occasional outreach, but not essential).
