Job Description
The Department of Chemistry at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology invites applications for a Chemistry Faculty/Lecturer position with a path towards stable tenure. This role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate chemistry courses, conducting research, and contributing to the academic community through service. We are seeking a dynamic educator and researcher committed to fostering student success and advancing chemical sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a robust research program, secure external funding, and actively participate in departmental and university initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate chemistry courses, including lectures, laboratories, and seminars.
- Design and implement engaging curriculum materials that promote active learning and critical thinking.
- Conduct innovative research in an area of chemistry, leading to peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research projects and academic endeavors.

Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
