Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Junior UPS Entertainment Lead to join our team in Downtown Boise. This entry-level role is perfect for an individual passionate about technology and entertainment, looking to kickstart their career in a vibrant corporate environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of entertainment and audio-visual systems across our Boise campus, supporting various internal events, meeting spaces, and employee engagement initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AV technology, event coordination, and system maintenance within a world-renowned tech company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, operation, and teardown of audio-visual equipment for meetings, presentations, and corporate events.
- Monitor and maintain the operational readiness of entertainment systems, including TVs, projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of AV equipment and escalate complex issues to senior technicians.
- Ensure all entertainment systems are powered appropriately and protected by Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) where applicable, maintaining system uptime.
- Provide technical support to employees utilizing AV facilities.
- Maintain inventory of AV equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand event requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
- Assist in training end-users on basic AV system operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized AV storage and control room.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in audio-visual technology and corporate event support.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to lift and move AV equipment (up to 25 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in AV technology, IT, or a related field.
- Prior experience (even voluntary) with AV equipment setup or event support.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS) and mobile devices.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts.
- Experience with ticketing systems for technical support.
