Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Pinterest Graphic Designer with exceptional proficiency in Canva to join our dynamic marketing team. This is a 100% remote position, perfect for someone passionate about visual storytelling and driving engagement on Pinterest. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and optimizing visually stunning pins and boards that align with Shopify’s brand identity and marketing objectives. Your designs will play a crucial role in attracting new merchants, educating existing ones, and showcasing the power of the Shopify platform through compelling visuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and create a high volume of engaging, on-brand Pinterest pins, carousels, video pins, and story pins using Canva.
- Develop and maintain Pinterest board aesthetics, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the content, SEO, and social media teams to understand campaign objectives and translate them into effective visual strategies.
- Research current Pinterest trends, design best practices, and competitor activities to inform creative direction.
- Optimize pin designs for discoverability, click-through rates, and conversion, incorporating A/B testing insights.
- Manage and organize a library of design assets, templates, and brand elements within Canva.
- Provide creative input and suggestions for improving Pinterest content performance and visual strategy.
- Stay updated on Canva features, Pinterest algorithm changes, and digital design trends.
Required Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Canva for graphic design, including advanced features and templates.
- Proven experience in designing successful visual content specifically for Pinterest.
- Strong understanding of Pinterest best practices, dimensions, and creative formats.
- Excellent eye for aesthetics, typography, color theory, and visual composition.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing relevant graphic design work, particularly for social media.
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
