Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team in Raleigh, NC. This is a crucial role responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of various materials to and from construction sites. You will be an integral part of our project success, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of aggregates, asphalt, dirt, and other construction essentials. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Transport construction materials such as dirt, sand, gravel, asphalt, and other aggregates to and from various job sites.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment, ensuring all components are in good working order.
  • Maintain accurate logs of vehicle operation, deliveries, and maintenance issues as required by DOT regulations.
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials, verifying loads are secured and within weight limits.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, dispatchers, and other team members regarding schedules, routes, and material needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the truck's interior and exterior.
  • Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents immediately to supervision.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Proven ability to operate dump trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, lifting, and prolonged sitting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience operating dump trucks on large-scale construction sites.
  • Familiarity with local Raleigh area routes and construction material suppliers.
  • Experience with various types of construction materials (e.g., asphalt, aggregates, dirt).
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
