Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit Beverage Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of a wide range of beverages to local businesses and residential customers within the surrounding suburbs. You will be operating a company vehicle, managing your delivery schedule efficiently, and upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service. This is a high-activity role requiring excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle (e.g., van or light truck) to transport beverages.
- Load and unload beverage products efficiently and securely, often involving heavy lifting.
- Follow designated delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Verify order accuracy with customers at each delivery point.
- Collect payments and issue receipts as required.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and vehicle inspection reports.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving any delivery issues professionally.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B minimum, C1 preferred)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25kg) repeatedly throughout the day
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with local Great Yarmouth and surrounding Norfolk suburbs
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery role
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations for manual handling
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
