Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Remote Social Media Moderator with a strong focus on online safety to join our global team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content across various social media platforms, ensuring adherence to community guidelines, terms of service, and legal requirements. Your primary objective will be to identify and address content that violates safety policies, including but not limited to hate speech, harassment, graphic violence, child exploitation, and misinformation. This is a vital role in protecting online communities and ensuring a positive, safe user experience for millions.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively review and moderate user-generated content (posts, comments, images, videos) on designated social media platforms.
- Enforce platform policies and guidelines related to online safety, abusive content, and community standards.
- Identify and escalate complex content violations or emerging trends to senior moderators or specialized teams.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in content moderation decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving online safety threats, platform policies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to ensure consistent policy application.
- Provide feedback on content moderation tools and processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Handle sensitive and potentially disturbing content with professionalism and resilience.
