Job Description

Bright Horizons in Manhattan is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for our Childcare Aide – Entry Level Training program. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and supervision of children.
  • Engage children in educational and recreational play, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Support children's social and emotional development through positive interactions.
  • Assist with meal and snack times, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, children, and parents under guidance.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Genuine love for children and a desire to contribute to their development.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check and health screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior informal experience working with children (e.g., babysitting, volunteering, family care).
  • Basic knowledge of child development stages.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).
