Job Description
Amazon Logistics in Charleston, SC, is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Student Warehouse Hands to join our dynamic team. This part-time role is perfect for students looking to gain valuable work experience while contributing to a crucial part of our operation. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe loading and unloading of packages, ensuring they are sorted and prepared for their next journey. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload packages from trailers and conveyor belts.
- Sort and organize packages according to destination or type.
- Scan packages and update inventory records as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 49 lbs (approximately 22 kg) frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or physical labor environment is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends.
- Enrollment in a high school or college program.
