Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Creche Assistant to join our team in Jurupa Valley. This part-time role is ideal for individuals looking to work during school hours, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a positive impact on young children’s lives. You will assist lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for infants and toddlers, supporting their development through play, activities, and daily care routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and play.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, napping, and diaper changes/potty training.
- Observe and document children's behavior and progress as directed by lead staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children's daily activities and needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for children and a passion for early childhood development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing situations.
- Basic knowledge of child safety and first aid procedures (certification a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some college coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
- Previous experience working with infants or young children in a group setting.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
