Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Creche Assistant to join our team in Jurupa Valley. This part-time role is ideal for individuals looking to work during school hours, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a positive impact on young children’s lives. You will assist lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for infants and toddlers, supporting their development through play, activities, and daily care routines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and play.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, napping, and diaper changes/potty training.
  • Observe and document children's behavior and progress as directed by lead staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children's daily activities and needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued.

Required Skills

  • Genuine love for children and a passion for early childhood development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing situations.
  • Basic knowledge of child safety and first aid procedures (certification a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with infants or young children in a group setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
